Advanced Optical Measuring System
Principal of Absolute Linear Scale
The grating scale of absolute linear scale consists of two grating masks, they are Absolute Grating Mask and Incremental Grating Mask respectively. Functions of this two masks are as per follows :
Absolute Grating Mask have different mask pattern over the whole grating glass, it gives low resolution but unique position readings over the whole measurement travel.
Incremental Grating Mask is an identical repeatable mask patterns over the whole grating glass, it gives very stable and high quality electronic signal for signal interpolation to achieve very high accuracy and resolution position readings.
Absolute Coding
All absolute coding used in our Absolute Grating Mask are designed by Easson, it is 100% our in-house design and intellectual property, designed and developed for different requirements of applications.
EC-1 is an absolute code designed by Easson for absolute grating scale. Compared with Heidenhain's 20mm distance code, epson EC-1 has the following advantages:
1. Heidenhain's distance code is a kind of "Codified Mark" that uses a small mark within 20mm as a distance signal trigger, while EC-1 uses a normal 0.82mm width REF Mark as a position mark, so the dust resistance is better than Heidenhain's is better and has less chance of misreading.
2. EC-1 adopts a dual-code combination design, with the possibility of error detection, so it is easy to embed error detection and correction procedures.
3. The detection movement distance of EC-1 is 6.1~12.1mm, which is shorter than Heidenhain's "Codified Mark" and is more convenient to use.

Connector interface
Gold-plated pins to avoid poor connection and Anti-corrosion, it has the small PCB inside the connector which allow the VA series Absolute Linear Scale built in the Laser compensation data and directly connect to our LCD DRO, ensure the high measuring accuracy.
