Features of Linear Scale | Aluminium Alloy Linear Encoder

 

The linear encoder | linear scale | optical glass scale is a sensor, transducer of readhead fit for a grating glass that encodes position. The sensor reads the grating glass to convert the encoded position into an analog or digital signal which can be decoded into position by a digital readout (DRO) or controller. The encoder have two types, one is incremental and another is absolute. Easson GS series is the incremental scale.

For typical applications of manual machine tools such as milling or lathes, resolution 10 µm or 5 µm is sufficient to meet the application requirements. The linear encoders of the GS10 and VS10 series provide such a resolution with an accuracy class of ± 10 µm within 1meter travel range.
